One of the most impressive use cases I’ve personally seen was a smart attendance system powered by computer vision. It was deployed in a manufacturing facility where hundreds of employees walk in at the same time every morning.
Instead of queuing up to scan cards or fingerprints, the system uses CCTV cameras with facial recognition to identify and record everyone’s attendance simultaneously, as they’re simply walking through the gate.
No delays, no contact, no bottlenecks. Just clean, silent automation.
It made me realize how far computer vision has come in solving real-world problems.
